Accessibility at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery

Parking

There are two 15 minute parking spaces outside the NHAA’s Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery at 136 State Street, Portsmouth, NH for drop-offs, and metered parking along State St. Two accessible spaces are available in front of Temple Israel, 200 State Street, just down the street. There are additional accessible ADA spaces located nearby in downtown Portsmouth. A map of all accessible ADA spaces can be found here.

Entrances

The sole entrance to the Gallery is the front door at 136 State Street. There is a step at our front entrance; a portable ramp is available to provide wheelchair access. NHAA also welcomes your personal walkers and scooters. The width of the front door is 42 inches. Gallery staff or volunteers are available to assist you. Call 603–431-4230 for questions or to schedule a time to visit.

Service Dogs

NHAA welcomes service dogs.

Restroom

The restroom at the Gallery is not wheelchair accessible. The space is not equipped with changing tables and is not fully accessible for people who use wheelchairs.
There is sufficient space for those who require assistance or privacy.

Accessible Routes Within the Gallery

There are accessible routes to all galleries to allow visitors to use mobility devises once inside the Gallery. Lightweight folding seats are available upon request. Please return them at the end of your visit.

Private Appointments

Private appointments are available by contacting the Gallery to arrange a time to visit. A member of our team will be happy to show you our artwork and help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Online Access

Many of the NHAA’s exhibitions are available online at our website: https://www.nhartassociation.org. Art in our current exhibitions may be viewed and purchased online.

Curbside Pickup

Curbside pickup is available at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery. Art purchased online or in the gallery can be transported to and placed in your vehicle.

Covid-19

The NHAA has installed HEPA filters throughout the gallery for increased protection.
We have cleaning and disinfecting practices that ensure all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down frequently. There are masks and sanitizer readily available at the front desk for visitors.
