Adrienne Kernan LaVallee
Adrienne Kernan LaVallee was born and raised in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. She earned a BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and her MFA
from the Maryland Institute College of Art. LaVallee’s work has been exhibited throughout New England including shows at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, Maine Art Hill in Kennebunk, and the Blue Raven Gallery in Rockland, Maine. Her art can be found in collections here and abroad in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and Holland. She has received numerous honors and awards including a 2024 Monhegan Artist Residency, two New Hampshire State Arts Council fellowships and an artist residency in Wilson, Wyoming.
LaVallee’s landscape paintings are filled with vitality as seen in her energized brush and palette knife work. She is inspired by the New England Landscape and created expressive images that also include imagination. She currently lived at Biddeford Pool on the coast of southern Maine.
