Judy Miller Bailey
“When people ask me what equipment I use-I tell them my eyes.” Anonymous
After moving from NYC to Boxford, MA, Judy rekindled an interest in photography-this time digital instead of film. Judy’s been juried into shows over 100 times and won over 25 awards in local as well as national shows. Her art is described by one juror as “showing the visible, but hinting at the invisible” and another juror as “playful, thoughtful and provoking.” Her photographs have been printed on wood, metal and torn paper in addition to being traditionally matted and framed. Judy is a juried member of 7 art organizations (including the National Association of Women Artists), has had 5 solo shows in the New England area and has been shown in galleries in her hometown of NYC as well as museums in Cape Cod, MA and Fairfield, CT. She says she enjoys people seeing things through her eyes, in a slightly skewed, new way.
