Barbara believes that living in New England and experiencing the spectacular seasons that Mother Nature provides, as well as the landscape and architecture of the region, provides her with a stimulating and motivational atmosphere. The colors, the textures, the forms and patterns are continually changing. It is here in New England that she is most inspired.

Barbara has been working at and studying art for many years and has found that she is always learning through the processes of painting and viewing. Experiencing the texture of a Van Gogh, absorbing the exquisite play of light in an Edward Hopper painting or encountering the bold patterns and colors of a Matisse are as influential and inspiring as her New England roots. These are the forces that drive her to create.
