Bonnie Lake is a long time Essex County resident and rambler, and a self taught artist with a heart for learning. She can most often be found, camera in hand, bushwhacking through swamps, along river banks, and at the sublimely beautiful intertidal zones that mark this county as unique. There, she finds many of the things she loves best in this world: trees, plants, grasses, fish and water. In her images, she focuses on shapes, textures, and color.

Because she is entirely and unreasonably obsessed with water, you may also find her wet to the waist in someone’s swimming pool, photographing her willing friends, and her unwilling relatives.
