Caroline Bouton

Caroline has turned to creative undertakings to define and make meaning for herself since childhood. Over time, as watercolor painting has become her most comfortable means of expression, her style has remained light of heart and touch. Largely self-taught as an artist, Carrie's repeatedly found that teachers of local classes have introduced new techniques and energy into her practice. She looks to collect inspiration from ordinary things-- often her kitchen, walks, gardens, or animals--and finds that they thereby become extraordinary! Carrie is consistently most content when working with focus at home, absorbed in a project, surprised by time's passage, and so satisfied to find an idea transferred onto paper.
