I was educated and spent my earlier career as an Interior Designer.  Artfully interpreting color, light and scale, amongst other design elements, has always been at the heart of my work. Directing my creative endeavors to a canvas was a natural transition. I am a self-taught painter of 10 years. Attending Master Artist’s workshops introduced me to many approaches that helped to inform my approach to my work. 

Growing up in New England and living many years on the Seacoast has influenced my subjects for paintings in pastels and oil paints. Ocean and landscapes along with botanicals that have surrounded me here and in North Carolina is what I brought to the canvas. Along with my representational work, I’ve expanded my exploration into looser and more abstract collections. I along with my patrons, appreciate this contemporary approach, change in scale and the room for interpretation that’s left up to the viewer. I plan to continue in this exploration while still touching back to the subjects that propelled my work to date.  Continuing to evolve into ones next creative expression is my driving force and I believe the truest essence being an artist.
