Elizabeth Craumer
Elizabeth is a landscape artist who enjoys the delightful colors of pastels. Betsy's passion for art began as a teenager when she first discovered the magic of pastel. Farms have always had a special place in her heart as she grew up exploring the mysteries of her grandfather’s barn. She marvels at the history and the promise that each barn holds. Now she finds herself looking at the entire farm, not just the barn. She prefers to work in her studio from photographs as it provides her the artistic opportunity to select the light as well as the season without having to endure the effects of weather or changing light. She works to highlight the wonderful ability of New Englanders to coexist with nature. Marshes, streams, fields, barns and forests are all likely subjects among others. As an artist, she is intrigued with the similarity in the way the sun’s rays cast their glow on both man-made objects and elements in the natural world alike. Her work can be found all over NH. She enjoys teaching and sharing her painterly style among others. Her work can be found at www.betsycraumerart.com.
