Dave is a photographer from Dover, New Hampshire specializing in landscape and seascape scenes from across New England. He uses High Dynamic Range processing to give many of his images a highly detailed and luminous appearance. He also uses artistic software filters to impart a “painterly” look to his scenes.

He is a member of the Seacoast Artist Association in Exeter, NH and the New Hampshire Art Association in Portsmouth, NH, where he often exhibits his works. A past president of the Seacoast Camera Club and a software engineer by trade, Dave has always been interested in the technical aspects of photography. The son of accomplished artist Roy Thompsen, he appreciates art in its many forms and the unique perspective artists use to compose and interpret a compelling scene.
