John Kenyon

Whether painting a person or a beloved pet, John takes his inspiration from all that makes a living being an individual and captures that spirit on canvas. As a medium John prefers painting in oils because he loves the vibrant colors and sculptural qualities that oil paints have to offer. Most of his work is held in private collections and predominantly does commissioned portraits.

John’s recent exhibits include an exhibit in April 2022 at the New Hampshire Artist Association Gallery in Portsmouth NH entitled “Head Gear.” John has also recently exhibited at Dartmouth Hitchcock Atrium Gallery in Lebanon NH. Other completed exhibits include a 2020 “Body of Work” exhibit at the NHAA gallery in Portsmouth, NH, a 2018 exhibit at the AVA Gallery entitled “Life’s Lessons”. Additionally, his work has been on display at the Quail Hollow Community Galleries in West Lebanon, NH. the Laudholm Nature and Crafts festival, as well as numerous other venues. John is a member of the New Hampshire Art Association, the Nashua Area Artists Association and is an artist member of the AVA Gallery in Lebanon New Hampshire. When not in Lebanon, John spends much of his summer on the seacoast in Ogunquit Maine.
