Karen Semo is a ceramic artist and NH seacoast native, working in clay since 2017. Inspired by textures in nature and kismet, she finds working in this medium a metaphor for life. Do your best to control what you can, embrace the surprises and let go of the failures. Sometimes the flaws lead somewhere beautiful. A certain amount of her process is left to chance, which she finds thrilling. It has taken her a while to get to this point where everything she makes is not so precious and she is able to let it go. When she is not working in her day job as a chemist, Karen can be found in her studio in Rollinsford, NH.
