Laura Mitchell is a watercolor artist residing in southern New Hampshire as well as the lakes region.  Since retirement in 2019, she has been diligently exploring the watercolor medium, and became a juried member of the New Hampshire Artist Association in October of 2022.

Mitchell paints what she feels and love flows through the brush.  She prefers painting landscapes and places she has visited which are dear her heart.  Looking for the lights and darks, the shadows, the patterns and the luminosity in landscapes is exciting and inspirational.  There is beauty everywhere; we just have to look for it!  Favorite quote: "Art is standing with one hand extended into the universe and one hand extended into the world, and letting ourselves be a conduit for passing energy" ---Albert Einstein
