Margaret began her studies at Portland School of Art, Maine earning a BFA in painting. After completing her degree, she pursued a career in graphic design eventually becoming an Art Director/Production Manager for a publishing company. For the past several years she has been honing her skills as an artist creating a variety of art pieces including paintings, pastels, collage, and hand-pulled prints.

Her paintings reflect the inspiration she finds in the smallest detail of a flower, the simplicity or complexity of a landscape, and the continuous changes of color reflecting a single moment in time.
