Scott Hyde

Scott resides in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where he has worked as an art educator at Keene High School, a builder, and an artist for the past 30 plus years. As a fine arts instructor, Hyde’s areas of focus were drawing, painting, printmaking, and silversmithing. As a builder, his interests revolved around structure and design. As an artist, living in New Hampshire has allowed him the opportunity to see how water, wind, and colors change during the four seasons.

He views his paintings and drawings as environments created from a collection of those memories, interactions with nature, and observations. It has been a long journey since those early shows, as his artwork privately evolved while raising a family and displaying my artwork in local venues. What has remained constant in his journey and artwork is how painting and drawing brings an awareness and perspective to his surroundings.
