Shawn Pelech

Shawn Pelech is a painter who enjoys being out in the landscape, observing and interpreting what she sees. Making art is always a learning experience, connecting with places and people, experimenting with new ideas, and incorporating them in painting.

She paints outside en Plain air along the coast of Maine, New Hampshire, and Key West.

During covid she studied for two years with Thomas Torak, portraits, thru zoom at the Art Students League.

She is a graduate of UNH and Lesley University. She has studied with Adeline Goldminc Tronzo, Colin Page, Chris Liberti, and have taken several workshops with Lois Dodd and Elizabeth O’Reilly. She was awarded a Residency at the Vermont Studio Center. She received First Place-in the Tennessee Williams Plein Air contest 2018, Key West. She works and teaches in her studio in Portsmouth, NH. Her work can be seen at 830 Gallery, Key West and at times NHAA, Portsmouth.
