Sue is a life-long NH resident and was born in Concord. She attended UNH and graduated with a fine arts degree with work in drawing, print making and painting.  On an exchange semester in San Diego, she concentrated on design courses, and that took her down a path to working as a graphic designer. Over the years she continued to paint, but in the last couple of years during the pandemic lockdown, has recently gotten more serious and made it a goal to concentrate on landscape painting. She feels her background in design has shown her the importance of  composition as the most important part of a painting. She currently works in acrylic or oil and is influenced by the beauty in the local scenery where ever she goes. She admires the work of the Canadian Group of Seven, California Impressionists and Rockport MA artists.
