I love playing, being out in the woods, interacting with people, and exploring my external and internal worlds. Through my work, I try to bring this love for play and my feelings to life. Playing keeps me in touch with my creative energy and allows me to create objects that are authentic in content, while working with wood has become a way for me to find resolutions and share my experience. For me, art is the process of exploring communicating what it means to be human, How one feels and what one responds to. My work doesn’t follow one particular pattern, rather each piece is influenced by where I’m at the time, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, and in what I find delight in or what I’m struggling with. Sometimes my work is a response to a need, a problem, or stimulating man-made or natural element. The constant is that my work seems to continually evolve as I grow and change according to what is going on around and within me.
